Time for Time+Tide

Day 223… Thursday 2nd November

A small boat arrived to take us to Chongwe River Camp first thing.  A 2 hour boat ride along the Zambezi River with spectacular views and windswept hair.  The road to the camp had been flooded a couple of days earlier and not wanting to risk getting stuck, a boat was offered by the camp which was much more fun than trying to battle the uneven dirt road which may still be impassable.  Our lodge was incredible.  Outdoor shower and bath, swimming pool, terrace, bar and sofa.  Wild animals roam through the camp and we had hyenas, hippo and waterbuck at night.  One of the camp hippos was fondly called fat albert by the staff.  Lonely and Rob flew in by private charter flight later the same day.
