Day 196… 4th October
Newly tarred roads in Kenya have been a treat but there are no lane markings so all vehicles tend to drove in the middle which can be precarious at high speed or when overtaking. Many motorbikes and tuk tuks with large loads (bamboo, timber, steel pipes). 3 hour drive west today to Sondu. The campsite was part of a large secure garden. A little rustic but ok for a stopover.

We have no photos of the camp we stayed at that night but suffice to say that the toilet block was so grim and depressing that we did our level best to not use them. They looked like something out of a horror film!
